Some pick up lines are boring and rude.
For example how often have you heard bad pick up lines such as:
“I lost my number, can I have yours?”
Let’s face it – if you use lines like these on a girl, she’s not going to give you the time of day.
Because pick of lines such as these, which are bad get too much attention, while encouraging others to consider that all pick up lines are worthless.
This simply is not true.
A good pick up line will actually do what it says – help you pick up a girl!
The true point in using pick up lines is to begin a conversation.
PERIOD.
You can work your magic to do what you need to get a date with her, a phone number and an emotional connection, once she begins talking to you.
Remember, if you do not begin a conversation, you cannot do much more.
You not only talk to a woman, you engage her, by drawing her into a conversation, and this is the only means to continuing with your goal.
And guess what? A good pick up line will do that!
When I first started going out to meet women, I was always at a loss of what to say to first meet a girl. I was always trying to think of something to say off the top of my head, and more often than not, I’d miss my opportunity to meet a great girl because it took me too long to think something up.
“I know you from somewhere, don’t I?”
All women know this to be a lame pick up line. You might think you’re being clever when you say this, but you’re not.
Other bad pick up lines include, asking for directions or telling her she looks like some big celebrity.
Why do you think this is?
Because these things don’t ENGAGE the woman. Once she responds, there is nothing to keep her in the conversation.
Avoid pick up lines that have yes and no answers. Good pick up lines get a woman to think about her reply, while inducing an emotional reaction, which encourages her to continue talking with you.
So how do you engage a girl?
Asking her opinion of something is the easiest way to do this, since each woman has an opinion and they like sharing their ideas, especially about relationships.
So to give you an example, you could say something like: “Hey, can I get your opinion on something real quick? Do you think it’s weird for a woman to try and get pregnant because she wants her baby to be born under a certain astrological sign? I really want to hear a woman’s perspective on this.”
Then you can follow up with a story about how you know a woman who wants to make sure her kid’s zodiac signs are compatible with hers so they will be well behavied as they grow up.
This leads to all kinds of different topics to talk about, things like:
1. Astrology 2. Children 3. Pregnancy 4. Marriage 5. Relationships
The places you can go with this type of line are limitless. Here are some of my favorite follow-ups.
“Are you a believer in astrology?” (This can begin conversations about destiny and fate.)
“Are you fond of children? You seem very nurturing.”
A good pick up line design draws a woman into an interestingly deep conversation, while allowing you the opportunity of getting to know one another better and becoming familiar with one another.
This is how you begin conversations.
From that point, it should be rather easy to ask her for a telephone number and possibly set up a first date.
