What Causes Jealousy – Taming The Green Eyed Monster

While you may think that it is other people that are what causes jealousy the actual cause of jealousy is within the person that is experiencing the jealousy. Jealousy is an internal issue and it may be very difficult to come to terms with why you are feeling jealous. Most times jealousy is due to a person having low self worth or low self esteem.

Many times if you do not feel good about yourself then you tend to feel jealous of those individuals that you wish you were like. Many times your jealous emotions are completely unfounded and are completely misplaced. Everyone has different perceptions and how you look at the world and people are different than others.

Many people experience jealousy in their relationship. You may feel jealous every time you think your partner is not with you or you see them interacting with other people. This jealousy is due to the fact that you are afraid of being alone and are very nervous about your partner finding someone else and leaving you.

How intense your jealousy is many times will differ depending on the situation. If you like the person of whom you are jealous then your jealousy is not that intense whereas if you hate the person to whom your jealousy is focused then your jealousy can be very intense.

Anger and fear can also cause jealousy and jealousy based on anger can be very dangerous as this can many times spurn and individual to action or look for revenge. You need to uncover the cause of your jealousy so you can go about and take positive action from your jealousy such as working towards an achievement or goal yourself.

In order to stop being jealous you need to look inside yourself and work on your self esteem. Jealousy is your problem and not someone else’s. You have the tools to be able to conquer your jealousy if you put your mind to it!
