K-1 visa’s will be the first step if you live outside the US and you can apply for one at the US embassy. If children are in the picture then you’ll need a K-2 visa so your kids can travel as well. When you get the US you can then try and get a green card through marriage.
The US government then reviews your plea, this step is not hard and they take care of your spouses sentiments through the process. Then you’ll have to schedule an interview explaining how you got married, once that is done and approved you will receive a green card within a few weeks.
