Have you ever had someone cheat on you? Or maybe you know someone who has been cheated on. Or maybe you’re even the one doing the cheating. In any case in today’s world cheating and relationships go hand in hand. There has been a rather large rise in cheaters in relationships in the past few years.
What most people do not understand is that it is something that can affect everyone. It doesn’t always affect the two in the relationship, sometimes it affects friends and even family members if they are brought into it.
Even if he or she doesn’t seem guilty, they probably secret feel guilty. When there are relationships and cheating occurs, that doesn’t mean the end of the relationship every time.
Once you have been cheated on there isn’t anything that is going to change it. It will be very hard to overcome and will typically lead to a rather large trust issue. Trust is one of the hardest things to overcome in a relationship and can be something that may never be overcome.
There is an old saying “once a cheater always a cheater” however that is not always the case. Sometimes after a person has cheated there is so much guilt that they actually realize that what they did was more harm than good.
Do you know why the person cheated on you? That’s a very important consideration in whether you’ll be able to trust them not to cheat on you again. Were things not good in your relationship at the time, or was it just convenient and just “happened?” You should be able to have a calm discussion about these reasons.
Sometimes an excuse can be believable and may have a bit of understanding to it. Excuses come in many different forms, some believable and some not. In any case if someone tells you that “it just happened”, or maybe you will hear that they are bored and needed change, probably means you have some issues.
If you were having problems, then at least the other person may have thought that the relationship was going to end anyway. They might have felt ignored or undervalued.
There isn’t a good excuse for cheating and anyway put will be a bad one. However, the excuse will mean a lot to the relationship and whether or not it can be saved.
There are some relationships that continue to go on, even after there has been a cheating incident. Most of the time is has to do with children where the couple will stay together for the child, which usually leads to a very bad breakup eventually. Being in a relationship that can’t be trusted can make it hard to live your life in a normal manner.
It is a lot easier said than done to let the fear go and trust the person again. Living your life stressing about where that person is all the time can take a toll on not only you but everyone else around you. This is stress that can cause your health to decrease and risk your chance of illness.
