1. Back off of her for a period of time
With all the emotion you are experiencing when pondering how to get your girlfriend back, the normal reaction is to want to call her and beg her to take you back. This is a big mistake. You need to do just the opposite.
For now (and for the next few weeks at least), keep the calls to a bare minimum. When you do call her, talk casually and keep the conversation light and short. It would be best if you let her be the one to do the calling during this period.
2. Get focused on yourself
While obsessing over how to get your girlfriend back, it is likely that you’ve neglected yourself a bit. You need to use this break from her to take your mind off of her and look at ways you can improve yourself.
Eat healthier. Get back to regular physical exercise. Have some fun with friends. Do some things to help people less fortunate than you. Whatever you have to do to direct your mind away from her and make yourself better, go out and do it.
3. Maintain good relations with her friends
When you are going through the period of limited contact and trying to better yourself, you will definitely still be pondering how to get your girlfriend back. That is your overall goal, so of course you will still ponder it sometimes. The thing is, you don’t want to call her each time she comes to mind. So instead, call up one of her friends.
Reach out to her friends and maintain good relations with them. Casually ask about her from time to time and try to gain some good information about how she is feeling. This will give you a good idea of how to get your girlfriend back and when the right time is to try to reconcile.
