Have you ever stepped back and assessed your life and think of how blessed you were? Unlike others, you probably have a roof above your head, food on the table and countless opportunities to experience a bit of luxury in life. There are a lot of people who aren’t so lucky. They have no homes, probably live on the streets, and have no food and no other security at all. Especially that the world economic crisis hit, what would happen to these people? Do you think retro sweets could ease their hardship? Let’s find out.
As you walk pristinely to work on a sunny day and come across a beggar, you can’t help but feel pity towards the person. Without thinking, you’ll probably reach out for something like food, money or retro sweets. Helping this one person is good but did you know there are countless more out there?
So if you wish to help completely in a more useful way, I say go join organizations that cater to this specific issue. You can volunteer at homeless shelters by helping to cook, serve and clean there. You can also donate cash or goods such as retro sweets, clothing, canned goods and a lot more.
There are a plethora of organizations in which you can join. There are government welfare services that accept volunteers and there are private sectors that hire people to help with the work. Either way you choose, you are sure to be doing something that helps those in need. Within these groups, although already a member, you can still donate or ask for donations from family and friends such as canned goods, retro sweets, clothing and so on.
Being in a benevolent group allows you to experience the different faade of the society. It’ll broaden your mind as far as charity is concerned. In more ways than not, it’ll help you become humble, giving and thankful for what you have. In fact, you’ll probably frequent on donating retro sweets because of your new found mission.
A few times a year, these groups also hold parties for the homeless. It is a great purpose during these times to contribute retro sweets and distribute it with the needy. This may be a small gift but when it comes from the heart, it will bring joy to that person.
