Worst Father’s Day Gifts
As opposed to Moms, Fathers always appear to have tough luck.
Yes, even my father has had this problem. However, even my mom was quite gracious about receiving kitchen utensils year after year.
Father’s day gifts are generally pretty bad, however. Even after their children are adults!
How awful can Father’s Day gifts be?
We have a list of the most terrible gifts on Earth!
* “BEST DAD IN THE WORLD” things. Nice jerseys. Coffee mugs. Neckties. Don’t do this again. All Dads already own a full collection of “Best Dad” things. This is adorable when you’re a five year old. But far from it if you are 50.
* Neckties. This is one of the Daddy’s day gifts that is a classic. (groan) Whoever was the first dad, to be bestowed this doggone tie… WHAT is the reason for him saying he liked it? Picture a caveman wearing a necktie. It was ruined, since that day, for us Fathers…
* Cologne. Start with, this is like saying, “Hey Pop. You smell.” And also, this is like saying, “Hey Pop. We understand your bathroom closet is overflowing with your cologne. That makes no difference. There is always space for an addition.”
* Scribbled IOU notes or coupons. For back massage, foot kneading, and so forth. Adorable. But we should be realistic. This is the gift Dad receives when it is 7 pm on Father’s Day, all the stores are shut, and the children have neglected to obtain something. You have been caught red-handed! 
* The nose hair remover — no need to say more.

I spent much more time than I meant to, when I was browsing through my photos of my childhood with my Father, recently. Looking over every picture. The thoughts I must have thought when I was laughing at the haircuts and clothing. The memories you share. There is nothing as valuable as a treasured memory, when it comes to our family.
Let’s honor the relationships we treasure the most, the relationship with Dad, this year.
