Have you considered the beautiful effect that bright yellow sunflowers might have as part of your garden wedding? Even if sunflowers are not your favorite, a garden wedding is always a lovely choice.
Although many brides have enjoyed the use of color as part of their wedding over the past few years, times are changing. Today’s brides are choosing to return to the traditional white wedding. And a white wedding gown can look absolutely stunning when surrounded by beautiful and colorful flowers.
Because flowers are symbols of life and beauty no wedding is complete without them. Nature is all around us just waiting to give us inspiration. It does not matter if your wedding will be in a private garden or in Central Park, New York, nature has all you will need and more. Of course, not every woman is the same, and some choose to carry the idea of a white wedding throughout the event, including the flowers.
Before you can have the garden wedding of your dreams you will need the following seasonal guide so that you can know which colors will fit each of the seasons:
Spring ??? Choose pastel shades of blue, pink, purple and light yellow. Summer ??? Baby blue, magenta, canary yellow and white are ideal for a summer garden wedding. Fall ??? This is the time for the rich colors of burgundy, red, burnt orange, gold and brown. Winter ??? Winter garden weddings look wonderful with white, red, deep wine, green and, of course, chocolate brown.
Whether you are wanting particular flowers for your bridesmaids or centerpieces it is important that you bear in mind that flowers are seasonal. You cannot choose the flowers until the date has been set, and then you will know what season it will be in.
You might already have the garden setting for your wedding confirmed already, and so now it is time to decide the style of the wedding. Many women want fashionable and special summer weddings and tend to choose shades of pink and green. These two colors work well together and are ideal for any number of moods and effects. The two colors also suit both the bride and the groom.
Although flowers are seasonal you can still have the flowers you want if you are prepared to have them imported. However, this is an expensive option and perhaps not a viable one for the bride who is working within a budget.
It would be best for the blushing bride to consult a florist before she begins to do her wedding shopping for flowers. You can always voice your likes and dislikes with either the designer or a florist and then you should willingly follow their expertise for guidance. More than likely your florist may be able to suggest another similar flower as you do your wedding shopping for flowers.
If you are fortunate enough to have a large budget at your disposal then extra expenses such as having flowers imported will not be a problem. For the majority of brides, however, good planning of each aspect of the wedding will ensure that your garden wedding is one you will never forget.
