Controlling costs especially on the reception is probably the hardest part; if you want a cheap wedding, this is where you may have to start, firstly by reducing the number on the guest list. Try and keep your guest list to a minimum: ask yourself if you really need to invite family members you haven’t seen for years; instead, opt for a three course meal or a hot and cold buffet.
Other cost reductions can be made in where the wedding reception is held. It could take place in a friend’s house or a local club where money could be saved on beverages if they are supplied directly.

Although many photographers are employed for the entire day, this isn’t really necessary; the majority of guests are more than happy to take photos on behalf of the couple, and they will be ‘natural’ shots as well! You could, if you are brave, dispense with the services of a photographer completely; a friend or relative who is a keen photographer might be happy to do this for you!

One last money saving tip is too use the car of someone you know for the day, using this instead of a fancy limousine, you can almost guarantee they will be more than happy too.
Cheap weddings are possible without the wedding seeming it has been cost driven.
