What type of entertainment does a magician provide?
A party magician can offer close up magic whereby he will mingle with small groups either sitting or standing and give them an unforgettable experience that will last. This works well at any event where you have a largish group of people (no less than 30) relaxing, drinking, chatting, or even sitting for a meal. In the latter case, a party magician will entertain in between courses, giving each table their own little performance.

These shows are usually interactive, with audience members being called up to help in the demonstrations. Most cabaret shows last between half an hour and an hour, no more.
If numbers are too small for close up magic and a cabaret than a good option is a parlour show. This is where a magician will perform a small, intimate show for everyone, but, as opposed to a cabaret show, it is scaled down, more personal, and tailored for no more than thrity people. Ideally, this sort of show can be performed without a stage and so a living room is an ideal venue.
