Ever notice how much advice your friends and family have for you in regard to dating? Do they really know best? Would you take diet advice from your 250 pound Aunt? Thought not! So here is dating advice for women from women! Call it “been there, done that” advice!
Alicia, a 30 year old professional woman, advises “don’t talk too much. You don’t have to keep the conversation going all by yourself. And, if you try to, you won’t be listening to what he has to say.” Be more interested in what you hear than in what you say.
Eve is a widow who recently re-entered the dating scene after a 32 year marriage. Her dating advice for women is to keep it up beat. “You’ve always got to be positive, even though circumstances in your life may have gone pretty bad lately. Be up-beat, men don’t like to spend time with a woman who constantly is negative. In time you become too much of a downer for a man to want to continue to see you.”
And from Misha we hear “Never cloud the truth. If you’re divorced, admit it. If you have children, say so. He will find out anyway. So never tell lies, even little white ones.” All trust will be gone if you start a relationship with less than the truth.
Sandra, whose been married to the same man for 41 years, tells us, “Be careful with advice. Never give it unless asked for, and then be sure it comes across as just a suggestion. Men run fast if they feel a woman is being controlling. But, then, we women do the same thing, don’t we!”
You wouldn’t ask a gardener how to fix the hem in your skirt, would you? No, you would ask someone who knows about sewing. Would you ask a brick layer how to bake a cake? No, again, you would go to a person whom you can reasonably expect to know about your question. So it makes good sense to ask other women for dating advice.
It also makes good sense to take the advise of T.W. Jackson. Dub, as he is affectionately called, knows about relationships. He has helped thousands of people the world over solve their relationship problems. He can help you, too. He has written a very special book, “The Magic of Making Up” that offers you a lot of help in your relationships. You will find still more good advice at www.squidoo.com/mendingrealtionships
