
Attention teens. Yeah, you! How many times have you had adults cater their advice for teens dealing with breakups in a manner that makes them feel better without really dealing with what you or going through?
Did they understand how you really felt or they just ignored it? Because of the generation gap, most parents find it difficult to jive with what the youngsters have in mind right now. They simply don’t want to think about it too much or they will end up freaking out.
Breakup is awful no matter how old or young you are. Adults may be cooler than teenagers in dealing with breakups but they are also as devastated as them. The thing is that they know how to handle it and “put on a good face”.
This advice is more about what not to do than what to do. When you first hear about the breakup you might be more than a little bit floored. You’re not really thinking about your pride or straightening things out. You are so focused on the pain and all you want to do is make the pain stop.
It is always a belief that the pain stops once you get your ex back. But things doesn’t happen the way it was planned. Letting go of the situation is undeniably a far-better way to win your ex back than fighting, begging, and making bargains. It will do no good to you.
Have a break. Let your ex know that you agree with the breakup.
