
Most men have felt approach anxiety while out at clubs and bars. For most guys it takes over when considering to approach a woman they deem intriguing. Approach anxiety can be so overwhelming that it prevents a man from ever speaking to women.
There is a method for overcoming this social paralysis. For many approach anxiety begins as an internal negative dialouge. This mental loop can be countered with an opposing positive dialouge.
Question: “Why am I out tonight?”
Answer: “To meet a woman.”
Question: “How will I be able to meet women?”
Answer: “I must approach them.”
Question: “If I don’t even attempt to approach any women how will I feel?”
Answer: “I won’t feel good about myself and I’ll view tonight as a worthless and awkward time.”
Question: “For how long will I then think about this negative experience?
Answer: “I will think about it until I go out again and I will feel horrible.”
Question: “Do I want to feel crappy for a while or do I want to feel great right now?”
Answer: “I want to feel like a rock-star, let’s go talk to some women!”
Then, to make all of the above worthwhile, you must take action. Use the strong negative feeling of your approach anxiety to propel you to approach. Turn your fear into your power.
