Downtown Vegas Why I Love It

Freemont street in downtown Las Vegas gives you a true feel for the old Las Vegas. The strip is a very nice area full of luxury high rise hotels and expensive meals and gambling, where as you can go downtown and get your old school Vegas fix, gamble and have fun and stay in some pretty nice properties while you are at it.

I always have a good time Gambling there, and I believe I have made money there each time I have visited. I even stayed in the hotel once and it is also pretty nice. Be nice to the girl that checks you in and she might upgrade you for free!

The pit bosses at other downtown casinos have said there are some issues with the Golden Nugget so I have never stayed there, or even gambled there for that matter, but I do still like their Shark Tank. They have a massive aquarium in the middle of their pool and they even have a waterslide that runs through it. At least get in and check it out, and who knows I may be wrong they might be a great property.

The first time I went downtown I stayed at the 4 Queens hotel on Freemont Street. I really enjoyed myself there and I would say they are the reason I am attracted to downtown. The hotel is named after the original owners 4 daughters, but the new owner also has 4 daughters which I find odd. This hotel is old, but it still is a classy lady for its age.

To conclude if you are going to stay downtown you can choose from the cheaper Binion’s or 4 Queens or the more pricy Golden Nugget. You can also find deals at The Freemont and the Plaza as well as the Golden Gate where the 50 cent Shrimp Coctail originated. I haven’t stayed at the latter hotels, but as soon as I do you can count on me to tell you about them.
