How to get tall is among the most usual concerns of vertically challenged individuals. According to statistics, these people are less likely to get promoted faster than their taller counterparts and stand a lesser chance of getting noticed by the opposite sex. But all these can change without even undergoing risky surgeries or spending money on miracle height-increasing products and medications. Because there are very simple things that can be used to compensate for height. Here are some of them.
Keep the proper posture. Make sure your spine, buttocks and heels are well aligned. To know how this works, stand up straight with the back of your head, shoulder blades, buttocks and heels touching the wall and observe how all these align. This can give you the proper alignment of your body when its entire outline is well-aligned. Now you wonder, what does posture have to do with height? For one, poor posture permit a person from maximizing his actual height. By slouching, the body looks shorter, especially around the middle. Keeping yourself from slouching, therefore, is a fool-proof way to enhance your height.
Regularly perform exercises that can improve your height. Whether you stretch for a few minutes or undergo rigorous training exercises for an hour or two every day, you can enhance your height by just moving your body. Stretching exercises, for one, can virtually elongate your body muscles, leading to a more slimmer and taller look. It is good to take advantage of this fact as it not only improve your profile but can actually permanently increase your height for up to a few inches. Rigorous exercise routines, meanwhile, strengthen your body by developing individual muscle fibers. Strength training, for example, is critical for adult and old people as this type of exercise focuses on the body components that are critical to retaining the alignment of your body parts and in keeping posture deterrents during old age such as deformed spinal discs at bay. This exercise also strengthens your upper body, giving your backbone ample support.
Apart from the obvious benefit of exercising to height, regular exercises also keep you from packing up extra pounds which are detrimental to fighting your way up against gravity. The truth is, the heavier you are the harder it is for your body to gain height. This is best exemplified among short adults who used to be obese as kids or teenagers.
Maintain a proper diet. Think of your body as a fuel-powered machine. This machine, to be able to maintain all its natural functions, should be supplied with all the fuel it needs. The same is true with the human body. A body that gets its sufficient supply of nutrients has better capacity to grow to its maximum height. Conversely, a body that does not receive sufficient fuel has lower chances of growing as much as its genes and environment permit.
The problem concerning how to get tall can also be resolved by taking height-enhancing pills and drinks, and to those who are willing to accept the risk, by undergoing surgeries. Be warned, however, that many of these methods, while very effective, are highly risky. The safer and less risky options, therefore, offer more convenient solutions.
